February 13, 2009 – EDGEMONT, PA – Peak Beam Systems, Inc., manufacturer of high-intensity Maxa Beam searchlights, announced today that the company has shipped 176 of its new Deluxe Vertical Maxa Beam Kit (MBPKG-D-V-STAT) to the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) for use in Afghanistan by France’s Section Technique de Armée de Terre (STAT).
The new Maxa Beam system will be installed in armored vehicles and is configured to allow dual functions: portable, battery powered use and vehicle-powered, mounted use. The system includes a 7.5 million CandlePower Maxa Beam Searchlight with a reinforced “Spyder” front lens for extra shock protection. The new system has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN).
