October 10, 2008 – EDGEMONT, PA – Peak Beam Systems, Inc., manufacturer of high-intensity Maxa Beam searchlights, announced today that the company has received a series of purchase orders valued at more than $1.9 million for Peak Beam’s new Maxa Beam Crew-Served Weapons Light (CSWL) Illumination System.
The Maxa Beam CSWL system was released in June 2008 after extensive testing and comparative analysis against other weapon-mounted lights by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. The Maxa Beam CSWL features a remote-controlled variable beam width, an 8-15 Hz strobe sweep and a long range (3000m) field of illumination. The CSWL system is rated at IP66 and the searchlight’s integrated rail interface allows the Maxa Beam to attach to any M1913 “Picatinny” rail.
